Pierre-Alex Crisinel studied medicine at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. He obtained his medical degree in 2000. He then did his training in Pediatrics, at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) and obtained his diploma in 2006. He then went to Ste-Justine Hospital, in Montreal, Canada to pursue an additional training for 2 years in pediatric infectious diseases. On his return to Switzerland, he completed his training in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at the Geneva University Hospital (HUG), where he also completed a training in vaccinology with Prof. Claire-Anne Siegrist. He obtained his specialist diploma in Infectious Diseases in 2012, integrates the swiss vaccines experts team (INFOVAC) in 2013 and the Swiss Federal Vaccination Commission in 2021. He currently works as the head of the Unit of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). His clinical current clinical research activity deals with strategies to increase vaccine coverage.
